Formal Pics with kids

Look at what I am doing ...
No matter what, when Lydia wants her nails painted, she just doesn't stop asking. Luckily, I didn't get any hot pink polish on my beautiful dress :) (thank goodness!)

Senior NCO of the Year for Tinker Air Force Base

Micahel won the Senior NCO of the Year Award for the 507th Air Refueling Wing for 2008. So, then he was nominated for the award for the entire base. We went to a formal awards banquet (my first formal in all these years). We actually got to walk through saluting sabers (swords) and I felt like the belle of the ball.
Michael was so handsome and well-deserving of the award. Although, he didn't win the award for the base, he is still happy that his superiors recognized all his hard work throughout the past year.

Kirkendall

Here is Lydia with Bro. Phil Kirkendall from our church. She always has so much fun when she visits their house. Carolyn always has a purse ready for Lydia to play with each time.

Sleep

Lydia loves her sock monkey. (Her dad has named him 'Little Britches' - the day she got the monkey she also got new 'girly' panties. Michael and Uncle Jerry both were putting panties on the monkey :)
Nathaniel was so tired this day ... he slept so hard!

The Round Barn of Arcadia, OK

This barn was built in 1898, and is now one of the most popular attractions along Route 66. My friend, Mary took the kids and I to Pops for lunch one day (it is a cool store with hundreds of different colas and good burgers). And down the road is this round barn. We were able to tour inside and meet the gentleman that runs it and also go to the top and walk around. If you ever get a chance, it is something to see and explore.

A Smile Worth Sharing - Lydia

Here's Lydia primping in the bathroom. This pic was taken by Jody ... those two girls love to put on make up and curl hair. Lydia just loves it when Jo is here, she is always getting her hair done. If you ever need to find them, they are in the bathroom blow drying their hair or putting in pretty barrettes.

A Smile worth sharing -Nathaniel

Look at all those missing teeth!

Handmade Dress

Here is Lydia in a dress that her granny made for her. We just love it and it's extra-special b/c it was handmade by Michael's mother :) She looks so precious in it.

Dancer

We put Lydia in dance classes in Feb and here she is in her leotard and her 'pink' ballet shoes. But, only after two lessons, did she want to go to 'nastics', like her brother. We thought that Lydia would enjoy dance, and wanted to try Nathaniel in gymnastics. Well, after the first night of Nathaniel in gymnastics, Lydia wanted to go also. So, now they are both in gymnastic classes. I will post pics of them in class soon.

Blogging

Okay, I'm getting bad at blogging. I do enjoy being able to send pictures and caption ... at least I'm not sending pictures in mass forms like I use to a year ago. That was bad!
I am going to try and get better at making time to blog. Most of my friends, (Guyla) are great at blogging and I love seeing all the changes in the kids and just getting caught up with everyone.
Well, here goes, looks like I am about to blog for the entire month of March ... tonight :)
