Valentine's Flowers

Michael was so sweet to get Lydia and I flowers for Valentine's Day!

Penny for your thoughts ...

Lydia loves pocket change. If there is any to be found ... it's hers (so she thinks). I can't tell you how much change is in each of her little purses and in her room. She is always digging for change.

Valentine Hike

Michael and Nathaniel love going hiking, that is what they did on Valentine's Day.
After each hike Nathaniel is so excited to tell me about what all they saw and how far they walked. On this hike, he said they got to see an owl and a couple of hawks.
Lydia and I plan to go on the next hike, well, it will be more like a natural trail that she and I do :)
As for me and Lydia on Valentine's Day, she was sick for the day :( Her little tummy just wasn't happy is what she kept telling me. So we just stayed indoors and cuddled most of the day - well, she did sleep a lot.

Hiking

1/17/09 Michael and Nathaniel went on a hike in Red Rock Canyon about 45 minutes away from where we live a weeks ago. Nathaniel really enjoyed being outdoors.

Day at the Park

Here she is even after a head wound :) Nothing can keep this girl down! Lydia just had to try out the zip at the park. She had a good time running around and playing for the afternoon.

The BEST day!

Here Michael and Nathaniel have been chasing each other around the park ... Michael tagged base (the table) and they were off again. It really was a good day.

Day at the Park

Fearless! Today was a beautiful day ... but still had that Oklahoma wind :) We met Michael for lunch at a park near his unit and enjoyed the outdoors. Here Nathaniel is zipping across one-handed he did that most of the day. In the other pic he is chasing his dad around the park.

Captain

Here is our family dog, Captain. Isn't he just the cutest! He is almost 10 years old, he was our first baby :) He is slowing down a bit and has started having seizures. He is so good with our children and most other children ... until they pull at his little tail or want to pick him up.
Just thought I would share our cutie!

Lydia's Trip to the ER 2/6/09

Lydia tripped and hit a shelf at daycare on Friday :( She had to get six stitches in her eyebrow. She is one tough little lady. She didn't cry or move while the doctor was putting in the stitches. They say that it should heal nicely without a big scar. She has done well over the weekend and we will go Monday to have the stitches removed.

Medivel Times Fun

We had a blast eating with our fingers, yelling for our Black and White Knight to win the jousting. Here Nathaniel is standing by the King. Nathaniel's name was read from the royal post for his birthday and he also got to wear a Birthday King hat. We all thought the night was pretty spectacular!

Medivel Times

For Nathaniel's 7th birthday we took him to Medivel Times in Dallas, TX. Here in the pic are Michael, me, Nathaniel, my sister Elena and brother-in-law Bobby. Jody was taking our picture :)
